Direct Tension Indicating (DTI) SmartBolts® Video Demo

Standard grade DTI SmartBolts indicate whether a joint is loose or tight with a clear visible indicator that gradually darkens from bright red when loose to near black as the fastener is tightened.  Accurate to within 10% of design tension, DTI SmartBolts have a wide range of applications, particularly in “go/no-go” types of situations.

Watch closely how the indicator gradually changes color as it reaches design tension.  The entire process is completely reversible, resulting in a clear, visible color change.  DTI SmartBolts are accurate to within 10% of design tension.
